Let me warn you ….The Trickster is not just “any” book with just “any” story! So please sensitive souls avoid it and strong souls enjoy it!¿To Women, girlfriends read it, recognize yourself, stop pointing your weaknesses and develop your strength and confidence… don’t be anymore the observer of Life…just remember how much being brave and strong is in your genes, and GO FOR YOUR DREAMS!!! As the say ” Stop dreaming your life and start living your dream!”… Be fearless and free spirit! Its what all our Life is all about and Angela Moreaux is there to remind us that!¿To Men, eventually, the ones who got guts, you will get fascinated and intrigued by the “Perfume” of such a woman!… You will “hunt” her and search for her in every woman you will meet in your life! And to the others… please avoid…it will be tough to deal with… it will hurt your ego, wake up your fears and remind you how much you can be weak! Well… don’t worry…you always have the saga of ” Harry Potter”!

The book is fantastic, entertaining and written with a distinctive style. It is like a piece of my favorite jewelery: I love it but you can not wear it with every dress, it needs some thinking and preparation in what to wear, how to feel etc. I enjoyed the scenes in Russia as if I was part of this mysterious adventure. Every scene like a short movie, the words give you everything to start vesualising, feeling the characters of the book.

Please read it and you might discover some mysteries in you, it is all about the trickster in you....

The book, My Trickster is set in the modern day Russia and amongst its new rich business leaders and their foreign partners. In that world everyone is used to different schemes and tricks to grow their wealth and influence. The main character, La is a a strong, independent minded woman who knows how to survive and navigate in this male dominated tough world. She uses her intelligence, wit and charm to stay alive and to get what she wants. The men, she works with and sometimes plots against, are all ready, when an opportunity presents itself, to stab each other in the back. They all enjoy the luxury things their money can buy, but they have to be always alert. The men want to use La in their intrigues and at the same time they want her. However with so many players, no one fully controls the game and the plot has till the very end new and totally unexpected twists. Even when you finish the book, you are still processing what really happened.

The style of the writing is very descriptive and you can picture easily in your mind the environment where things are set. This book can be recommended to anyone who wants to read a thriller which makes your brain work.

    Entitled to Seduce

As a personal collaborator in the second half of this book's creative process, I had the unique opportunity to experience the cycles and twists of many episodes before the final work was published. This book narrates a very dramatic and exciting adventure, centred in the character of the mysterious femme fatale La, and her games with everything and everyone around her. Comprehensive in its description of locales, venues and brands, the novella provides very graphic scenarios for the whole dynamic of interactions. It is also intense in the description of many characters with varying degrees of activity and importance, but all with their passions, egos, needs and wants, which are to clash with the manipulations of a single, very sensual woman.

"My Trickster" is not only a trip for the reader to find out more about the enigmatic, sensible La and her machinations and ploys, but it's also a means to understand how female spirit issues forth when put to the test, and the webs and spells it weaves in its surroundings to make things simply happen. The story also traverses the life-viewpoint and imagination of Serafima herself, as she pours many things of her own personality and life-experience into the mix to create a both realistic and strangely ideal portrait of femininity.

Pay some attention to her relationship with an even stranger and darker character whose name and actions I shall leave you to discover. Enjoy this opera prima and don't resist seduction! D.R.

Every so often I read a book that leaves me with mixed feelings.

Every so often I read a book that leaves me with mixed feelings. “My Trickster” by Serafima Bogomolova is one such book. Although I found the story confusing at times, I was compelled to continue reading to the end. The story tells the tale of “La”, a dynamic woman thrust into a “man’s world” full of power and deceit.

Serafima weaves a tale full of mystery and suspense, full of unexpected twists and turns, the reader is hard-pressed to guess what will happen next. The tale jumps from the point of view of “La” and sometimes Juan MacBride, then to the third person near the end of the story. This lead to some confusion for me as I found it hard to keep track of who was talking. When the book finished I was left with just as many questions as I had answered.

Seraphima Bogomolova started writing in October 2012 in New York, where she began to recognize her talent for writing. As she developed My trickster her writing style evolved to a descriptive cinematographic style.

Although this book wasn’t to my liking it wasn’t a bad story. Just completely different from anything I have ever read. If you are looking for a unique story full of international destinations perhaps this book is for you.

At times this was a hard story to follow with all the twists and turns Serafima has you going on and there were times I had to go back to reread just to keep on track. But once you get past this it is an amusing story that will leave you in suspense. This story reminded me a lot of a classic movie where the characters are unique, the story line is unique and they concentrated on the scenery. The way Serafima gave you details of the different cities really made you feel like you where there. I have never traveled outside of the US so love to read stories that really give you details and make you feel like you are there. The one big thing that stood out was the authors way with words...very witty and without having to say too much. Definitely worth reading.

I just finished reading My Trickster by Serafima Bogomolova. This fast paced, quirky book is a relatively short book that has a way of throwing the reader a little off base. It bounces back and forth from one point of the view to the other, from Angela to McBride, telling the story. Sometimes the same scene is told over, after one of them as explained what is going on. Then towards then end of the book, it is told in 3rd person. It does lead to a bit of confusion.

The 2 main characters, Angela Moreuax and Juan MacBride have been reunited after many years apart, and at first their meeting is filled with turmoil. Angela, referred to as La, has summoned MacBride to modern-day Russia, and against his better judgment, he goes. He feels a pull that he simply can not resist, even though she has not and will not, tell him why he must come. While La is a tough woman, she is in a world and life of men that do not think twice about stabbing each other in the back. As the reader would expect, things for the characters do not go as expected once the ex-couple and business partners have been reunited.

Even as the book ends, you are left wondering about all the twists and turns.

After visiting Serafimas’ website, I knew this was going to be an interesting read – and it was!

This is a very quirky book that revolves around the main character Angela (“La”) who is a beautiful woman, with a dangerous streak. Men want and desire her and she uses her beauty to her advantage. Rich, powerful men are drawn to her and she plays lots of “political games” to get what she wants, when she wants it.

La calls up an old love of hers, Juan, to help her in Moscow. Even though he is reluctant to go, he can’t resist the fact that she actually needs him – so off to Moscow! But when he arrives, he is met with more questions than answers and has to embark on a journey that he not expecting.

On the outside, she seems to pretty much be a b$tch, but as you read on, you find that she is actually like many of us – she has moments where she is vulnerable and lonely when she needs others to help her.

The book is written from La’s perspective as well as the other characters, which can make it a bit hard to follow in parts. However, the characters are interesting, the plot is full of suspense and the book did keep my attention! It was an easy ready, but can be a bit shocking in places – very enjoyable!

“My Trickster” is a truly invigorating read. It takes you into the world of the rich and powerful and quite often into the world of unknown. It’s intriguing, fast moving, very different to the novels that are currently available on the market. It’s packed with action, new places and it’s full of glamour. If you wish to immerse yourself into this ever changing and exciting world, I highly recommend it.

One of the things that I love about this book is the presentation. The layout is split into chapters and each section begins with a quote. I felt that the quotes set the tone for each part and they were interesting, I even found myself jotting a few down. As well as this, the different perspectives built up suspense throughout the book and encouraged me to read on and find out what happened next. The mystery never died and was kept even at the end. I found the story very interesting, cultured and action-packed and there was never a dull moment. I highly recommend this book, it is easy to read and is quite gripping.
