***

A year of delicious food is only enhanced by a selection of equally tasty cocktails, and Rachael’s husband, John Cusimano, is no stranger to the cocktail shaker. Now he’s sharing his secrets with you. Whether shaken or stirred, straight up or on the rocks, with a cherry or a twist, John’s creations—like his Strawberry Velvet featuring honey liqueur, strawberries, and lime—are always fresh, fun, and certain to make any gathering more memorable. With plenty of options for every occasion and season, such as the Pomegranate Margarita, the Halloween Fizz, and the Nod to Nog, these fabulous concoctions are the perfect complement to Rachael’s year of great eating.

I read the other reviews and hesitated , but bought it as a gift this holiday season, when it arrived, i flipped through and made a few recipes within the next few days. I kept it and ordered another for the gift! THe recipes are great, loved that you flip the book over and you have the drink book, such fun!! I do agree with other reviews, this is not for the 1st time cook or someone without common sense. Rachael writes , expecting you to have bit beyond basic skills, but nothing that anyone with some common sense couldn't figure out. I had to reread a few steps. But I would recommend it~ BTW the gift was a big hit too!

NOT FOR NOOK HD (no PagePerfect, i.e. graphically enhanced, books are).   They don't tell you this when you purchase a NOOK HD - which is the updated version of the Nook Color. The newest reader gets fewer compatible books, and none with enhanced graphics!  Nice.
