What this book is and isn't

    Hello! :-)
Hope you're well and thanks for considering this book.

Just wanted to share some thoughts for anyone who is thinking about buying this book, from the Author, so take it with that in mind.

This book is not an illustrated step-by-step sort of book.
It is not a reference compendium full of pictures of every type of plant, animal and other example that exists on the planet.

It is a genuine guide for what you really need to know.
It does address how things really work and what things really don't work that are taught in most other survival books.

Most importantly, it does address the real things that do happen in survival situations. Things such as how and when to do a field amputation, what are the facts around starvation and cannibalism, and how to manage dire circumstances like disaster and conflict.

It is hoped that this book will contribute and complete the plethora of information out there on the subject of survival.
Mostly, it is not just a guide for survival but surviving life.

Thanks and hope you like it.
Hawke

    survival info

This book is worth buying and keeping around. Lots in info but the medicine section was sketchy. I would have like to seen info on being hidden rather than info on being found! But that is what the aurhor is expanding on. Still I will buy more copies to give as gifts.

    In depth survival book.

This book goes into great detail. The author's humorous style lightens the material. Unlike some other books he covers the philosophy and psychology of survival. He is much more practical about the nitty gritty of surviving than other authors.

    Major letdown.

I pjrchased the "special forces guide" in june and read it in three days. Soon after, i heard about this book coming out. I purchased it and discovered it was basically a carbon copy of the aforementioned bopk. :(
