M.Y.O.Bby Deborah Gibson
On her latest disc, M.Y.O.B. (short for "mind your own business"), Deborah Gibson's philosophy seems to be "if you can't beat 'em, join 'em." When compared to new-millennium teen vixens Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera, the '80s pop music queen -- who skyrocketed to stardom with infectious hits such as "Only in My Dreams" -- is practically a senior citizen. In 2001, however, the thirtysomething Gibson returned, armed with a youthful set of radio and MTV-friendly tunes. Throughout M.Y.O.B., Gibson's thin yet pleasing vocals sound as vibrant as they did in her teen years, and she shines on the heartfelt ballads "The One" and "Wishing You Were Here." Younger divas may rule the charts, but Gibson still rules the hearts of her many fans.

This album rocks! Deb is back... she never went away really! This album is pure pleasurable pop with overtones of club and R&B. You won't be let down! Highlights include YOUR SECRET, which if the MYOB single doesn't put her back on the charts, SECRET will! (It's my fave on the album!) WISHING YOU WERE HERE is classic Deb as is the killer ballad, THE ONE. WHAT YOU WANT is ripped from the pages of NSYNC with Deb's own flavor of course. Get this CD! Britney take note! Before these chicks, came the original... DEBORAH! I hope to see her soon on every tv talk show and every magazine!
Deborah Gibson is the best singer/ songwriter out there. And this album proves it. I love all the songs. So try it and see what you think.
I think this is a great new CD. I have all of her CDs but I am very impressed how different this one is. She has a great voice and a great talent for writing songs. The fist listening to this new album was a little bit strange, because of the new sound. After the second listening I liked it much more and now it is my favorite. I think it is a great CD and it is a mess that it is not so much noticed.
Don't miss a golden opportunity from Deborah Gibson!!! Her new album rocks and rules. Buy it now!!!
WHAT CAN I SAY BUT HERE WE HAVE TRUE MUSICAL VERSATILITY AT ITS BEST.THIS DIVA HAS IT ALL AND THIS TIME SHES HERE TO STAY.ALL SONGS HAVE RADIO TOP 40 WRITTEN ALL OVER THEM SO JUST SIT BACK LISTEN AND ENJOY(MYOB MIND YOUR OWN BUISNESS)CANT STOP SINGING THAT!
All i can say is that Deb is back and hotter than ever with this new album! She has it all on this one! Dance, pop, r&b, jazz and ballad type tunes! I guarantee if you buy this album, there will be at least one song that you'll love! Of course, me being a devoted fan that I am, I love them all!
Deb is back again, her 7th album, and better than ever. The songs rock! The lyrics inspire! The dance factor is immense!! All I can say is you shouldn't pass up this diamond in the rough because of past bias for ''Debbie Gibson.'' The ''new'' Deborah is mature, vocally in tune, and almost perfect in every song her voice seems to carry. From fast catchy tunes, ''Your Secret'' & ''M.Y.O.B.,'' to ballads, ''The One'' & ''Jaded,'' to the retuning of a classic, ''Knock Three Times'' with vetern singer, Tony Orlando, Deborah will not have you minding your own business when listeing to her new masterpiece.
ITS TIME TO PUT ALL BIASES ASIDE AND TAKE NOTICE TO ONE OF THE MOST TALENTED ARTISTS TO HIT THE MUSIC SCENE IN DECADES. SHE MADE A NAME FOR HERSELF AT 16 FOR HAVING WRITTEN AND PRODUCED HER OWN SONGS. SHE IS NOT A MANUFACTURED PUPPET SINGER LIKE HER CONTEMPORIES. AND NOW, WITH ''M.Y.O.B'' DEBORAH IS SURE TO RECLAIM HER POP DIVA STATUS. ITS TIME TO HAVE THE DEBSTER BELTING OUT TOONS IN YOUR LIVING ROOM AND CAR RADIOS ONCE AGAIN! YOU WILL NOT REGRET BUYING THIS CD!!!
i was a big fan but i feel disappointment this time, i am sorry, it is all i have to say
I've kept up with Deborah since she was Debbie and heard every album she made to date. This is one of the best. Modern with a funky-hip, dancy edge and yes...can't forget about the ballads. No doubt, she's still got it!
Deborah Gibson has again proved that she is a talented singer/songwriter/producer in her latest CD. She recaptures the energy that made her popular 10 years ago with the title track entitled MYOB as well as ''What You Want'' and ''Your Secret''. There are some great dance tracks as well as some great ballads such as ''The One''.
Deborah is back with M.Y.O.B., the follow up to her self titled release from 1996. She is determined to win the younger crowd over with this collection of new songs. Strong ones: M.Y.O.B., Down That Road and The One. Now if only radio and retail would promote her.
