The first paperback edition to combine Gore Vidal's brilliant and energetic fantasy Myra Breckinridge with its sequel, Myron. "A moral masterpiece."--The Times (London) 10,000 print.

A perfect union of great story, tight, compact prose and truly biting humor; a real page-turner. The novel is a true wonder; simultaneously unfolding on the level of high camp at times while addressing social values.

I read the City and the Pillar and thought it was great, these two books I found to be a little strange. Myra is just crazy and Myron needs professional help. The Myron book is almost like Jaqueline Susann meets Stranger in a Strange Land. Requires an open mind and a tolerance for irrelevant explicit material to get through this one.Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback.
