    I actually loved it

It takes a different tack than the other books, so I can see why it might be disappointing, but it also goes further back into D'ni history than any other text and describes the chilling details of a fantastic dystopian society.

Trilogy finishes with a not-so-big bang

After setting Myst: The Book of Ti'ana down I was excited and ready to crack open Myst: The Book of D'ni. I was somewhat disappointed. It's not that this is a bad book by any means, but it is bland and dull. It did not keep my interest for long, but I perservered and finished the book with no real feelings except for the excitment of getting to find a new book to read. It was all right.

    Stunningly superb!

This was indeed a great book. I found it hard to put down, let alone stop thinking of half of the day. The descriptions of the environments around them are very detailed, drawing the picture of the place in your mind. The story itself was well-constructed, giving the reader a great plot as well as defined characters. I recommend this book to anyone who liked Myst even the least, for it is truly a wonderous adventure to embark upon.

    A Modern Maserpiece

This is a must-read book! Go to the grocery store, buy alot of junk food and soda, unplug you phone and tv and get sucked into this vivid world where anything is possible. For a weekend of ecstacy get the whole trilogy and proceed to read.

One of the few GOOD fantasy/sci-fi series

It seems the other two books lead up to this one. The best anti-utopian novel I've ever read, and I've read several--1984, Brave New World, etc. The part with that spinning machine thing and all those people running it and getting trampled gives me shivers even two years after reading the book.

The Info I needed to Become Obsessed!

I remember when I went to my uncle's house, and he had this computer. It was always cool because we never had one of our own. He showed me this game called Myst, and let me play for a few hours. I was amazed. When we finally got our own computer, this was one of the first games I got. Throughout the games I saw little bits of information that pointed to a back-story. I saw these new Myst novels in the store. I got them all and finished them within days. I have so much information now, I can't but help look at all of the little details in the games. I know the past of these characters I've fallen in love with, showing how they learned from mistakes and saw things in a new light, just as I did. If I liked the story anymore, I might be out exploring, looking for D'ni itself.
