    Dramatic and compelling mystery

This fun Edwardian mystery is chock full of appealling characters, surprising twists, and a slow build-up of clues leading to a solution that may leave you feeling as shocked as the crime-solving barrister who serves as hero. Highly recommended reading.

    Constant suspense

Very well written mystery. The competition between the professional and talented amateur detectives in this yarn adds to the excitement. The characters are well defined and behave as expected as the puzzle unfolds. The author does a
good job of raising the excitement level when the answer to the puzzle is finally revealed. Once started, the book is hard to put down.

    Fun reading, lots of turns.

Louis Tracy writes in a very visual way for her time. She lays out all the clue's all the way through the book.

    A great Mystery!!

Gordon Holmes (or otherwise Louis Tracy)is or was a great writer. It is an art for someone to write a mystery that you can't put down. I highly recommended this book and will buy others by this autor. Keeps you guessing until the end.
