Children's Literature
When Ashley and Adam Arlington purchase a board game in a small store in Montana, they have no idea of the adventure it will take them on before the game is completed. On family vacation in Montana, the Arlingtons are challenged to cross the state looking for clues to this game. Searching for clues in Glacier National Park, on ancient Indian trails, and in forgotten forts, the Arlingtons, as well as the reader, discover General Custer, Lewis and Clark, Sitting Bull and other amazing heroes that were involved in the exploration of this part of the United States. This is an excellent way to interest readers in local or regional geography. The series, "X Country Adventures," consists of four titles. The stories are upbeat and incorporate the expression of family values within the story, without preaching. 2000, Baker Books,

Lewis and Clark and the Wild West...a great story for young readers, though I 'borrowed' it from my daughter's school back pack. It will be interesting to read the other books in this series as I have lived in both Massachusetts and Florida, two other books in this cute educational book series!
