    Mixed quality--excellent to mediocre

This collection includes some first-rate works, such as Hound of the Baskervilles and The Moonstone, and, surprisingly to me, Crima and Punishment by Dostoyevsky. Other titles are mediocre and deservedly obscure. Still, if you have this on your Nook, you will never lack something interesting to read.

My biggest complaint is that I find it hard to navigate among the works. I knew one book I wanted was there, but had a hard time finding it. Yes, the titles can be scrolled along the bottom of the Nook, but with 30 titles, that takes a lot of time. I finally had to access the keyboard and search the title name. And it did not come up until I added the "The" at the beginning of the title.

Some full lines or words were missing on some pages, but over all a great buy for the price!

    Great selection, great value

This book has enough variety to keep you interested for a long time. Most, if not all, stories are from the 19th century, which, depending on the author, can be challenging to read. There are plenty of short stories for times you need something quick and refreshing, and longer, more involved stories for when you are ready to really settle in. Most are mysteries, but some are paranormal stories. I also found that Bram Stoker's Dracula was embedded in here. The title is not in the contents list. It follows The Great Valdez Sapphire. So if you like mysteries and you like 19th century liturature, this is a book for you.

A year's worth of mystery reading

There are 10,000 pages of books here. Really. Crime and Punishment is just one of the 63 books in this huge collection. Clearly this is all public-domain material, mostly from the early 20th century, and the quality is uneven. Some of the books are painfully dated, others are interestingly or even intriguingly dated. Some are classics.

You might want to keep a little notebook of what you've read and the authors' names -- the table of contents gives you only the names of the books, not the authors. And use bookmarks! Finding your page among 10,000 can be a challenge.

This has got to be one of the best values out there, even after you toss out a few clunkers.

    63 mysteries

I 've read most of the more popular classics in my youth, this is a wonderful collection to keep in my library for when the craving arises! I don't do a steady diet of this type of story line, but, like dessert, when I crave it, it's great to have it availible, all in One place! This one book saves me the space of 63 books!
