The story was excellent, as were the plot and the science behind them.I wonder why this series is not more popular. Some readers may be put off by the use of different characters for the first-person accounts, as opposed to Doyle's use of Dr. Watson in the stories of Sherlock Holmes, among others. I find it interesting to see the Thorndyke stories told from different perspectives. The writing is excellent, and I have added vocabulary by looking up antiquated terms from our Nook Tablet and iPad, without closing the "book."Was this review helpful?
