Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature - Susan Hepler
The fifth-grade girl detective has to find a visiting French girl who doesn't speak a word of English and is lost in the airport. Using her photographic memory, Cam remembers seeing an older man who looked like the uncle whom the girl is to meet. Maybe she followed the wrong person. Readers will enjoy seeing Cam deduce the mystery while adults fluster around. Natti's line drawings, one to three per chapter, lighten the text and flesh out the characters in this twelfth entry of the "Cam Jansen" series.
Library Journal
Gr 2-4-Readers are swept into the plot immediately as Cam, her friend Eric, his mother, and her annoying, but well-meaning friend embark on a boat ride. When a wealthy passenger's dog is stolen, Eric, Cam, and her photographic memory spring into action. The mystery is solved through the kids' perseverance and the thief's verbal mistakes. As with the others in the series, this title is written in short chapters with large print and numerous black-and-white full and half-page illustrations. A game at the conclusion encourages readers to test their own powers of memory. This is a natural addition to early chapter-book collections.-Christina Dorr, Whitehall City Schools, OH Copyright 1999 Cahners Business Information.

    Lost Girl and Lost Luggage

This book is spectacular and very creative. This book is about a girl who has a very good memory because when ever she says "click" she remembers everything, just like a camera. The story is about Cam Jansen's Aunt Molly is coming into town. The first problem is about how Molly's little brown suitcase gets lost in the airport. Then as soon as they were going to the main desk , they overheard someone talking about how they lost one of their relatives. Her name was Simone and she was from France, she didn't speak any english. Will they find Simone?
