I read the 1986 edition of this book and I am completely amazed by the two humans who without much needed equipment nor the necessary warn clothes to keep them warm ,could brave the snow squall to climb to the top of Everest but have they succeed? In this 1999 new edition, Holzel and Salkeld have tried to give more clues and have gone to great lengths and minor details for us but with the Kodak Camera not found on the body of Mallory nor any trace of Irvine, the mystery would continue and hope , with luck, more clues could prevail on the slope of Everest or the Rongbuk Glacier all the way down and by then, perhaps, Holzel and Salkeld could put the jigsaw puzzle together for us in the future edition and solve the century long enduring mystery. Was this review helpful?
