As he sets out to sea, the other men speak his name - Lauchlane Macleod: the very same whose death Gormala had foretold. But how can this gaunt old woman know such things? Where are these terrible visions, whose force he seems unable to counter, taking him? What is the significance of the pages of cipher which once belonged to Don de Escoban? Can he solve the Mystery of the Sea?

A 'must read' for Stoker fans!

Most people will be familiar with Bram Stoker's 'Dracula', and with the style in which it was written. In 'The Mystery of the Sea' you will find the same fluid storytelling that compels you to continue reading page after page. Although not written in the same format (ie. letters, journal entries, etc.) as 'Dracula', the standard novel format actually makes the story read a bit smoother. This novel has it all - mystery, romance, adventure - everything a great novel should have in order to stand the test of time. I highly recommend this book to anyone who appreciates good literature.
