I read the author's earlier book on Otto Rahn and the Grail and loved it. However, this book falls a bit short. it is somewhat tedious with pages and pages of submarine arrival/departure times, grave burial lists and so on. A lot of that material is best put in an appendix. There is some creative speculation here which is interesting, but unfortunately is a smaller part of the volume. However, that part of it is interesting enough I gave the book a 3.
