Overview

"Mystic Christianity" is a fascinating exploration of mysticism in the teachings of Christianity written by William Walker Atkinson. An interesting and thought-provoking series of “lessons”, this volume is highly recommended for those with an interest in the mystic roots of Christianity, and would make for a great addition to collections of related literature. The chapters of this book include: “The Coming of the Master”, “The Mystery of the Virgin Birth”, “The Mystic Youth of Jesus”, “The Beginning of the Ministry”, “The Foundation of the Work”, “The Work of Organisation”, “The Beginning of the End”, etcetera. William Walker Atkinson (1862 - 1932) was an American attorney and author. He wrote numerous books under the pseudonym Yogi Ramacharaka, and was a keen occultist who pioneered the 'New Thought' movement. Many vintage texts such as this are increasingly scarce and expensive, and it is with this in mind that we are republishing this book now, in an affordable, high-quality, modern edition. It comes complete with a specially commissioned biography of the author.

Eastern Orthodoxy IS  Mystic Christianity based on The Truth, The Way and the Life: Jesus Christ.  You don't have to go to gurus, "avatars" or shaolin monks to achieve unity with God. Eastern Orthodoxy does it by unification with Christ  and His Mystical Body- The Eastern Orthodox Church. Fasting, asceticism, prayer, Scriptures and a sacramental life.  We are historically that Church people about in the Bible. We''re the original community, we are the Early Christians.  We are Pre-Denomenational. We're still here.
