Edith Hamilton (1868-1963) was born of American parents in Dresden, Germany, and grew up in Indiana. Through the first quarter of the twentieth century she was the headmistress of the Bryn Mawr School in Baltimore. Upon retiring, she began to write about the civilizations of the ancient world and soon gained world renown as a classicist. She regarded as the high point of her life a 1957 ceremony in which King Paul of Greece named her an honorary citizen of Athens.

FANTASTIC BOOK THAT SETS LIGHT ON GREEK AND ROMAN MYTHOLOGY

I am reading the book because it is the book of choice for Pre-AP English. It is very interesting and I am learning more on the myths that I already knew. It is just fact at first but then it gets into the stories and becomes more interesting. I recommend it to anyone who is interested in Greek and Roman mythology.

    Wow

Reading through reviews, i notice some of the people rating it one star and claiming that it's badly written are obviously not even fluent in english. Just because it's your first language doesnt mean you're an expert or even any good at understanding english at all.
