    Good manga

I received this book as a present from a person who knew nothing about manga. They did a pretty good job, considering their lack of knowledge. The plot is definitely different than most books and mangas. Though some of it can get a little bit dull I loved it and thought that many of the characters were hilarious. Don't get confused, the main character really is a guy!!!!

A Rare Find - Highly Recommended Series!

Nabari is one of those few manga that have left an impression on me. My opinion, meant more for the female audience than the male, but I think both will find a lot of enjoyment in the series. On the surface it has that ninja action to keep most readers busy and entertained. However, as the story progresses you can feel that change in attitude in who I feel are the two most main characters, Miharu [an apathetic young teen boy] and Yoite [another mysterious teen with a past that may shock you]. No, don't turn away now, it's not your usual surprise, but it's definitely original and may leave some female fans in tears. I started out with the first two volumes for Christmas 2 years ago, and the plot instantly had my attention. The anime is also good, but deviates from the manga at about the 20th episode (volume 8 of the manga). Nabari, by the end, can be a tear jerker for some readers. I've followed the manga in Japan until the last 14th volume, and I've cried many times throughout it. All in all: -9/10 rating- I LOVED it, but you may feel the end a tad rushed. Some secrets were truly unexpected. -a great book for the girls- it's not all ninja action! -humour- there is a lot of humour thrown in, but not too much -tear jerker- If you love an angsty back-story, you've got plenty! -14 volumes total- not /too/ long, and not too short either. -8/10 art style- Kamatani's characters seem to be in an "anorexic chic" style with long, skinny limbs and it may not be everyone's cup of tea, but the characters are otherwise all well-drawn. There are moments when you can see changes in style once or twice as you progress. I -HIGHLY- recommend this series. If you like the first 2 volumes, then you should greatly enjoy the series as a whole!

    I Also Recommend:

    Cool

Cliffhanger ending that makes you want to read the next volume. The main characters all have their secrets. Especially their teacher. There action scenes and some funny scenes. Shimuzu's a cool character. Going to read more from this series.
