HAUTE OUT OF THE OVEN—BITCHIN’ KITCHEN’S NADIA G IS COOKIN’ FOR TROUBLE!

Culinary It-girl Nadia G is just as skilled strutting in stilettos as she is wielding a meat cleaver. Now this Julia Child of the Net generation and host of the wildly popular Bitchin’ Kitchen TV show on the Cooking Channel brings her savvy chef know-how and rock star ’tude to glam up your dining experience. Trained at the culinary institute of Hard Wooden Spoon Whacks, Nadia says that her passion for food started in her Italian family’s kitchen, where meals became moments. In Cookin’ for Trouble, she shares recipes and cooking tips for beginner and seasoned home cooks to liven any occasion.

Back-of-the-Fridge Bachelor Brunches: Sometimes what lurks in the back of our fridge isn’t that inspiring, unless it’s been there long enough to strike up a conversation. No groceries, no problem! With just a few leftovers, whip up a scrumptious Sartu di Patate, or a Pasta Frittata that tastes like you’d planned it for days.

(Dysfunctional) Family Pizza Night: Bring your family and thighs closer together with the Giosia familia recipe for Rustica Pan Pizza, Puttanesca Panzerotti, and Traditional Italian Frittelle smothered in a creamy chocolate-nougat fondue.

Makeover Meals: We all get stuck in a rut sometimes, whether it’s the same boring dish, hairstyle, or boyfriend. It’s time for an upgrade! Turn ordinary dishes on their head with inspired crispy Tuna Sliders, smoky Chicken Risotto, and juicy Meatloaf Kebabs.

• Plus Nadia’s creative menus for Hi-Speed Suppers, Girl’s Night In, Veg-Head Specials, Student Shkoff-fest, and a special chapter devoted to everyone’s favorite food group: Bacon!

I know—we had you at “Bacon.” But there’s more! Loaded with gorgeous photos, more than fifty original recipes, sanity-saving “Nadvice,” a Bitchin’ Party Guide, and a hunky team of food correspondents—Panos, the Spice Agent, and Hans—Cookin’ for Trouble will take your meals from square to sassy faster than you can say “Tsaketa.”*

*and for newbies, there’s an Italian Slang Dictionary!

Editorial Reviews

From Barnes & Noble

It was Nadia G's three-inch cherry stiletto that first snagged our attention, but it was her Bitchin' Kitchen wizardry that earned her YouTube and then Cooking Channel stardom. Like its predecessor Bitchin' Kitchen Cookbook, Cookin' for Trouble delivers appetizing, healthy recipes without sacrificing Nadia's signature blend of rock n' roll, comedy, and attitude. Canadian-born Nadia obviously realizes that most of her audience members aren't aspiring to Michelin three star greatness; they are busy people more interested in breaking the boredom of all too predictable home meals. Thus, many of her imaginative goodies are quickly prepared and others, like her Rustica Pan Pizza, are perfect for informal gatherings of hungry friends and family.

From the Publisher
“Nadia G's approach to food is incredibly fun and refreshing. She is truly an original which in this day and age is no easy task.  Not only do you have a great time while watching her cook but most importantly to me as a chef she teaches you during the process.  Her book Cookin for Trouble just like her show is flat out BITCHIN’!”--  Michael Symon , chef and television personality

“Rock ‘n’ roll never tasted so good.”--Lou Reed

“Nadia G brings earthiness, sex and high heels to the relatively monkish world of TV cookery.”--The New York Times

    You must get this book!

This cook book tells the story of a family sharing food and stories. The recipes are amazing and she gives wonderful ideas on how to incorporate veggie meals into your regular diet. The family pizza night is worth the cost of the book alone! Me and my family have not ordered pizza out since we got the the book! Easy to understand and easy to cook meals! The ingredients are easy to get as well! Get this book!

Dumbed down food for unknown audience

Iwas given this book by someone who purchased it and hated it. That makes two of us! Who IS this girl and how did she get a writing , much less a cooking gig. Gave me mental food poisoning!

    Rockin' fun cookbook

I love this cookbook!! Nadia is a refreshing author/chef/comedienne. I first discovered her show about a year ago, after getting a free preview of the Cooking Channel on Dish Network. The foreward by Guy Fieri should have begun at "When I first met my paisan...."; the stuff beforehand seemed like it was for a *Guy Fieri* cookbook intro, not someone else's book (in my humble opinion, and I am a Guy fan, too). Further editing may have worked well, too. That aside, these recipes look flipping DELISH!!!! It's a rockin', fun, quirky cookbook that I'm GLAD to have bought. First up, her pizzas and Hawaiian burger!! Grazie, Nadia! Rock on, sister.
