Overview

Nae-Née confronts the major taboo of our time: the conflict between human overpopulation and the human desire to pass on one's DNA, and to rest assured that the next generation will care for the previous one and continue all that matters to it. Our planet is being stressed past capacity due to biodiversity loss, rising sea levels, floods, droughts, overdependence on fossil fuels, and climate change. The human species is in dire trouble due to overpopulation. But nanite technology has brought about Nae-Née, a safe, reliable, user-friendly form of birth control. Nae-Née is a microscopic robotic device. The world's leaders have drafted a treaty at the United Nations, and every nation has signed it. All women must have a government-registered Nae-Née device. Every birth must be licensed, and not everyone will get one. The novel is followed by a comprehensive bibliography that acts as a case file on global warming and human overpopulation.

Nae-Nee - Birth Control: Infallible, with Nanites and Convenienc

Nae-Nee - Birth Control: Infallible, with Nanites and Convenience for All, is one of the scariest books I`ve read in a long time, combining elements of George Orwell, Adolus Huxley and Stephen King into a terrifying view of the future. Ms Fox brilliantly integrates evolving advances in biomedical science with potentially catastrophic trends related to mushrooming population growth to produce a real page-turner. Against an increasing bleak background of resource depletion, social chaos and resource depletion, an increasingly powerful coalition of global authorities enacts a compulsory population control program enforced by nanotechnology. The ultimate outcome for human society is a shift in the definition of what it means to be human and a triumph of secular technocracy as the dominant social paradigm of our species. This is a powerful and very dark piece of literature - recommended for reading only by the strong of heart!
