    Why?

I have to say, I was a bit disappointed in this book. I felt as if there was no real resolution to the plot and it left me saying "What was the point?"

Fun and sexy love triangle that will keep you guessing!

Judging a book by its cover has always been something I have been told not to do, but have done anyway. And in this situation I was not looking forward to this book. From reading the synopsis I had no idea what to expect in regard to the cover. The woman on the front does not look like a teenager to me, and I had some idea, from her facial expression, that she was knowingly causing a love triangle?

Assessment of cover aside, I actually got hooked while reading this book. The realism of these characters was uncanny. A typical female high school graduate vying for a spot among one of the most 'manly' career paths, is bound to get caught up in a love trap, accidentally.

One great aspect of the book I really enjoyed was the mystery of love. How a person can feel so strongly for two people at the same time held such a truth and sincerity that I fell for. Both men had such strong personalities with equally great and not so great aspects that even kept me on the edge of my seat.

Along with Mandy, I fell for these two. But I was always wise to the fact that she had to choose one, and how she did that made me charge through the book to figure out who, if any!

I really enjoyed the light-heartedness and romance in this novel and I would recommend it to anyone looking for some steamy men and a girl who they'd fight for. And lesson learned, don't judge a book by the cover!

    Disappointing

Mandy has always dreamed about taking a job at her father's construction company, so she's thrilled to start her first job after she graduates high school. Unfortunately, her older brother Marc is overseeing the job and giving Mandy a hard time for being the only girl on the job. But there's even better news in the form of two very hot construction guys, Charlie (better known as Boston) and AJ, both of whom seem interested in Mandy. Mandy finds herself having to make a difficult decision between the two but is afraid of hurting someone in the process. My reaction to Nailed is difficult to say. First of all, Mandy is not my favorite protagonist. While I do admire her for knowing exactly she wants for her future, her desire to help others, and her reluctance to hurt anyone, I did find her a bit hypocritical. On one hand, when she thought about men being so animalistic when they talked about women, she seemed disgusted but then she was always lusting after either AJ or Boston and taking in their scents (seems pretty animalistic to me). And, no other characters are really developed besides Mandy. Also, the plot wasn't too exciting for me it was a classic love triangle. What I did find interesting though was the unique setting. I mean, how many romantic stories can you read that take place on a construction site? Overall, Nailed did not totally wow me, but it was a pretty fun read. I recommend this novel to fans of cute and unique romance novels. This is Jennifer Lauren's latest novel.

    Fun, fun, fun

This story reminds me of Gidget - the lucky girl who had TWO hotties after her. A great beach read with a strong heroine and hot heroes. I really liked the construction background, very unusual setting for a love triangle.
