Naked Edge (I-Team Series #4)

Not up to par

This is the third Pamela Clare book I've read and I really liked the first two. In this book a Navajo journalist, Katherine, and a park ranger, Gabe, investigate shady dealings at an Indian sacred site. Gabe used his experience with his ex fiance as a reason to be a man slut. Chapter One, first sentence Gabe is having rather raunchy sex with a woman. He's crass and can be downright cruel. He goes through women like Kleenex & I doubt he can count how many there have been. He treats them callously & has no concern for their feelings. Katherine is a 26 year old virgin who has very strong beliefs that she will not have sex until she finds her soul mate, the person she will spend her life with. She's whimpy and is always apologizing for everything. Gabe makes it very clear to her that they have no future together but she still wants to have sex with him? What happenned to her beliefs? Also, of all people why would Gabe not use a condom? While the plot itself was good I just didn't find the two main characters very likeable.

NAKED EDGE IS WORTH THE WAIT

This is the fourth book in the I Team series, and although you can definitely read the addition as a stand alone and not feel you're missing anything from the story, the first three books are highly recommended to all romantic suspense fans. The fact that so much of what Clare writes about comes from personal experience and stories simply adds to the depth of the story. You will laugh, cry, and get pulled into this very engrossing story immediately. None of the characters are stereotypes, especially the Native American heroine. This is one of my favorite reads in quite some time. Give it a try!

Very interesting

Loved the culture and the innocent love. Great read and tear jerker at the end. Highly recommend!

This book was another great addition to Pamela Clare's I Team series Gabe and Kat equaled each other in strength and honor. The sexual chemistry between them was of the charts. I don't know how Pamela's does this but she keeps coming up with new, intense and suspenseful situations that draw you in and keeps you on the edge of your seat.

Wonderfully written, culturally insightful

This series is so addictive. Each book is exciting and rampant with suspense and romance. I love the way each book pulls you into the circle of the I-Team. You feel a part of the action because you are vested in the lives of the characters from the other books.
Kat is a complex women who has walked the razors edge between two cultures. A serious of accidents brings her to meet Gabe, a true man's-man. The story is full of intrigue and romance and once you start reading, you can't put the book down.

One of the best romance novels I've ever read. Seriously... that's saying a lot. Pamela gives you suspense and chills and definitely sexy, sizzling scenes that will knock your socks off. I've read this book over and over again and each time I read it I never get bored. It's totally worth the buy, you'll love it! I didn't know there were other books in the series, which that can be a good thing. Great read!!

Another amazing read from the I-Team series. so much emotion in one book! Love, anger, fear, courage... this list goes on and on. My favorite of this series. i've never cried so hard from a book in my life! Just a beautiful love story that you wont forget.

Let me start by saying how much I LOVE THIS SEREIS! I can't tell you how many hours of sleep I have lost reading these books! This book was no different. I honestly didn't think it was going to be as good as the others, but I was proven wrong! It has that heart pounding action, and passionate romance that makes you have to keep reading! I tell you when the villian in this book was revield it had my jaw dropping!!!! If you haven't read anything else in the series read them first. You will appreciate this book so much more! Get to know the I-Team you will not regret it!!!!

I own every book shes wrote and have read every one more than once carnal gift was the first romance book i ever read and I couldn't put it down I read it in one day and have been hooked ever since my only problem with Pamela Clare is she doesn't write fast enough and maybe her books end to soon. The endings are great but I can't seem to get enough of the characters.The I-team books are a must read and i love how you read her series you allready know and love the characters in the book. Pamela Clare is wonderful and my top pick for a book no matter what mood I'm in she has the dark side of romance the silly side the hot side the sweet side the embarrassing side and she always wraps it up in this wonderful text you just cant get enough of.

Get real!

I was hooked in the beginning, lost interest after the first couple of chapters. Pamela's novels aren't what they used to be. This might be the last for me.

Wish she could write them faster

As always great, sexy, alpha males falling in love with the women I wish I was. Exciting stories even if you know what's going to happen there always seems to be a twist in Pamela Clare's stories

Interesting I-Team novel set in the Rocky Mountains

Naked Edge is Pamela Clare's fourth contemporary suspense novel about the extraordinary reporters of the Denver Independent's I-Team. Navajo journalist, Katherine James meets park ranger Gabriel Rossiter when she nearly falls to her death in a rockslide while hiking. Never expecting to see her savior again, she is unpleasantly shocked when he shows up with law enforcement officers to raid a sweat lodge ceremony on sacred land at Mesa Butte outside Boulder.
Gabe and Kat independently investigate the sweat lodge raid then join forces. Gabe has been betrayed by his fiancé and women mean only one thing to him-sex. Kat is the unwelcomed child of her mother's infidelity. She makes it clear that she will only have sex within the commitment of marriage, but is drawn to Gabe. He would like to get her off of his mind and out of his life, but he can't.
Exploring the motives behind the interrupted sweat lodge proves deadly when beloved Grandpa Red Crow, plunges from Mesa Butte. Katherine has found an acceptance within his Native American community she has not experienced with her own family and sets out to prove he has been murdered. During the investigation, she and Gabe discover evidence that Native American artifacts have been robbed from Mesa Butte. Those responsible will go to any lengths to keep the crime a secret, even murder.
Once again, Pamela Clare has created strong and dynamic characters in Naked Edge, including drop ins from characters in her previous I-Team novels. The relationship between Kat and Gabe sizzles with intensity. The opening scene draws the reader in immediately and the story is rich with Native American heritage. Naked Edge has twists and turns that keeps the reader guessing and caught off guard when the villain is revealed. Louise in Denver

This is an entertaining investigative romance

Being a half-breed has made journalist Katherine James for the most part feel out of place in both of her cultural heritages. Her white father deserted her and her Native American mother so Katherine never met him and has no desire to do so. The Navaho have been kinder to her so she chose to stay with them. However, she has vowed to never fall in love as her mother was devastated by that emotion.

At Mesa Butte, Park Ranger Gabe Rossiter helps Kat after she is trapped by a landslide. Not long afterward, Gabe joins a raid on a sweat-lodge ceremony where he spots Kat. Like her though his reason differs, he vowed to never fall in love again having been hurt badly the first time. When her grandfather is murdered, Gabe and Kat team up to learn the truth, placing them in danger from a vile killer and each questioning their feelings.

This is an entertaining investigative romance starring two likable protagonists who have the sweat lodge ceremony intrusion between them even as they fall in love. The wilderness scenes are terrific, but the vivid description of the contemporary Navaho lifestyle never seems to gel as the background to the inquiry by Gabe and Katherine. Still fans will enjoy this exciting romantic suspense of two people trying to kick love to the curb while their joint investigation into strange deadly happenings at mesa Butte place both in danger.
