Nancy Clancy is back in New York Times bestselling team Jane O'Connor and Robin Preiss Glasser's third Fancy Nancy: Nancy Clancy chapter book—about seeing the future! Nancy thinks she may be able to read the future . . . and all signs point to her being a true clairvoyant (that's fancy for a fortune-teller). In the perfect follow-up to Nancy Clancy, Super Sleuth and Nancy Clancy, Secret Admirer, Nancy tries her hand at fortune-telling but quickly learns it's a bit more complicated than she thought. Does Nancy really have special powers, or is it all just a coincidence?

Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature - Tina Chan
Eight-year-old Nancy Clancy believes she can see the future after guessing correctly that her father would bring home pizza for dinner, her grandmother would call the house during dinner, and it would rain the next day. She goes to school dressed as a fortune teller complete with a skirt, shawl, and clip-on earrings. Nancy uses a Magic 8 Ball as her crystal ball. She and her friend, Lionel, advertise at recess about Nancy's fortune telling powers and charge a quarter for each fortune told. However, Nancy feels horrible for telling Clara that she will not get everything right on the spelling test, so Nancy tutors Clara on spelling. Nancy's mother finds out about the tutoring and the fortune telling business. Nancy realizes after speaking with her mother that she cannot see the future after all, and returns the money to her classmates. Readers will enjoy this sweet story with a happy ending. Black-and-white illustrations are included. Reviewer: Tina Chan
