About the Author

Prof. Pawan Kumar Maurya is Dean, School of Life Long Learning & Head of Department of Biochemistry, Central University of Haryana, India. He has done a PhD from the University of Allahabad (A Central University), India & post-doctoral training from Universidade Federal de Sao Paulo-UNIFESP, Brazil; Taipei Medical University (TMU) and National Taiwan University (NTU), Taiwan. He has more than 14 years of teaching and research experience. He is working on biochemical diagnostics, nanomedicine, and clinical biochemistry. He has published over 75 research articles in reputed journals. He has also edited of six books published from Elsevier, USA and Springer-Nature, Singapore. He is recipient of prestigious fellowships: Science without Borders (Government of Brazil) and National Science Council, Taiwan.

Dr. Tikam Chand Dakal is currently an Assistant Professor at Department of Biotechnology, Mohanlal Sukhadia University (Rajasthan), India. Dr. Dakal pursued his PhD from the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, Italy and did post-doctoral training from University of Montreal (Canada) and University of Bordeaux (France). Dr. Dakal has also served as a Staff Scientist at Beckman Research Institute of the City of Hope, California (USA). He has more than 10 years of teaching and research experience. Currently, Dr. Dakal is working in the field of Genome and Computational Biology with a focus on analyzing the biological/clinical data for deciphering the molecular basis of complex pathologies, for instance, cancers, neurodegerative disorders and others. Dr. Dakal has published over 80 research/review articles in reputed journals. He has also edited one book and published chapters in books from reputed publishers. Dr. Dakal is recipient of prestigious HMR Foundation Fellowship at University of Montreal (Canada) and FEMS-Young Scientist Award by VAAM, Germany.


Dr. Narendra Kumar Sharma is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biosciences and Biotechnology at Banasthali Vidyapith, Rajasthan, India. He has a PhD from the Defence Institute of Physiology and Allied Sciences (DRDO) and completed his post-doctoral training at the Guangzhou Institutes of Biomedicine and Health (GIBH) in China and at the Federal University of Sao Paulo (UNIFESP) in Brazil. He has more than eight years of teaching and research experience. He has published more than 30 research articles in peer-reviewed international journals, has authored and edited books, and has presented his research at various international conferences in India, Brazil, China, USA, and Germany. He has also been awarded. He has been awarded several prestigious awards such as the Dr. T S Vasundhara Memorial Best Paper Award and the Young Scientist and Best Innovator Award by Microbiologist Society of India.


Dr. Vipin Ranga is currently employed as a Project Scientist in the Department of Biotechnology-Northeast Center for Agricultural Biotechnology at Assam Agricultural University, Jorhat, India. He completed his PhD in Biochemistry from Åbo Akademi University in Finland. Prior to this, he earned a Master of Technology degree in Computational and Systems Biology from Jawaharlal Nehru University in New Delhi, and a Bachelor of Technology degree in Biotechnology from the Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati, India. During his PhD, he conducted a comprehensive bioinformatics analysis to screen potential immunogenic epitopes derived from SARS-CoV-2 protein sequences. He holds a patent on “Novel vaccine compositions”, describing the creation of a nanomaterial-based vaccine utilizing nanoparticles loaded with immunogenic epitopes derived from SARS-CoV-2.
