About the Author

Ying (Ian) Chen is Deakin Extinguished Professor and the Director of the Australian Research Council’s Research Hub in New Safe and Reliable Energy Storage at Deakin University. He has been working on boron nitride nanomaterials and applications for 30 years. His research achievement is recognized as a Clarivate Highly Cited Researcher for three years.

Srikanth Mateti, Research Fellow at Deakin University, specializes in nanomaterial production for gas storage and carbon capture. His breakthroughs include isotropic thermal conductivity in BN nanosheets, patents licensed to White Graphene Pty. Ltd., and multiple accolades, such as Deakin’s 2023 Best Research Award and international recognition.

Qiran Cai is a Research Fellow at the Institute for Frontier Materials, Deakin University, Australia, where he obtained his Ph.D. in 2017. He has been awarded the Australian Research Council Discovery Early Career Researcher Award (DECRA). His research centers on investigating fundamental properties and applications of boron nitride nanosheets.
