Meet the Author

Author/artist Masashi Kishimoto was born in 1974 in rural Okayama Prefecture, Japan. Like many kids, he was first inspired to become a manga artist in elementary school when he read Dragon Ball. After spending time in art college, he won the Hop Step Award for new manga artists with his story Karakuri. After considering various genres for his next project, Kishimoto decided on a story steeped in traditional Japanese culture. His first version of Naruto, drawn in 1997, was a one-shot story about fox spirits; his final version, which debuted in Weekly Shonen Jump in 1999, quickly became the most popular ninja manga in the world. The series would also spawn multiple anime series, movies, novels, video games and more. Having concluded the series in late 2014, Masashi Kishimoto has kept himself busy this year with the side story Naruto: The Seventh Hokage and the Scarlet Spring and writing the story for the latest Naruto movie, Boruto: Naruto the Movie, both of which will focus on the title character's son, Boruto.

This was the first manga i ever bought, and i didn't regret it one bit. Yay Gaara. He definately kicks butt! I thought it was too short though.

I think this a great volume especially if you're a Gaara fan because Gaara isn't out of the running and or dead.

This is another great volume of Naruto. This one's almost all about the fight between Rock Lee and Gaara. You'll only know who won when you get this volume. It's a great manga you won't want to miss!!!

Quite possibly one of my favorite fights so far in the series, well anime to be honest. Especially from the anime and two of my favorite characters as well. That was a tough fight but at the same kind of cool to read and see.

This is the best manga I have ever read, it has humor, fighting, demons, a tad of romance, and some sad parts. This is the only manga were I was actually worried that a character would die, thats how close I've been to the characters. I have all of the books, (except one, dont ask) and I have loved them all. In this specific one, (10) I was actually close to crying, and I'm not a sentimental guy. Thats how good that manga is.

This volume is so good and so sad at the same time! I felt SOOOO SORRY for Rock Lee0_0 he's my favorite character! It was so sad when the doctors told Guy that Lee would never heal enough to be a shinobi again!SOB CRY SOB! I still remember his goal 'I want to prove that a person who can't use ninjutsu or genjutsu can still become a SPLENDID NINJA!!!OHHHH! IT'S SO SAD! But it was still a really good volume!
