Meet the Author

Author/artist Masashi Kishimoto was born in 1974 in rural Okayama Prefecture, Japan. After spending time in art college, he won the Hop Step Award for new manga artists with his manga Karakuri (Mechanism). Kishimoto decided to base his next story on traditional Japanese culture. His first version of Naruto, drawn in 1997, was a one-shot story about fox spirits; his final version, which debuted in Weekly Shonen Jump in 1999, quickly became the most popular ninja manga in Japan.

    Now with more youthful exuberance

This book is where the series starts to explore plot and character development.
Give it to thumbs-up and a shining teeth smile

    I Also Recommend:

    Alright

The the four go on their first mission. This is one of those arcs where while not a favorite, has its moments but is just, alright. Not bad or anything just, okay. Still, Kakashi is awesome.

    This is so awesome!!!!!!!!!!

I would like to thank Kishimoto- san for putting all of this time and effort into this manga. It is truly amazing. I didnt really like Tazuna at first but when i saw Inari, i thought that he just wants to protect his daufhter and grandson. Sasuke was sooooooo amazing when he was fighting the enemy ninja
I hated Gato' so much. I thought the masked kid was so cool. I like Kakashi-sensei. He is amazing. I liked Sakura and Naruto and Sasuke is sooooo hot :D

    Worthwhile

Although not one of the best manga series, Naruto is entertaining enough to be a worthwhile buy. The animation is above average, the characters portray the typical sterotypings, and the plot is enough to keep you guessing. Best if read by pre-teens, as any one older would not appreciate. (I'm not fully sure that I do...)

    Kissssss!!!

That's right! In this Manga, Naruto,Sasuke, and even Sakura enjoy and detest certain feats of bravery and fight evil, intelligent, and new foes! I totally love this series (and Sasuke!), and believe that it is also a great, action-packed, and hysterical anime!

    naruto vol.2

Naruto volume 2 by Masashi Kishimoto is an excellent manga or graphic novel. It has exceptionally good animation and has alot of action and dialouge that both keep you reading from begining to end. If you are some one who likes non stop ninja action and a deep plot with comedy and intriguing characters then I would definetly reccomend this manga.

    Good Manga....could be better though

This manga/anime is great but I wish they kept all of the original stuff. For example, the technique names were chaged like doppleganger is supposed to be Kage Bunshin no Jutsu. They also changed alot of other good moves and some of the drawings in the american version of Naruto don't do the anime/manga justice.
