Meet the Author

Author/artist Masashi Kishimoto was born in 1974 in rural Okayama Prefecture, Japan. Like many kids, he was first inspired to become a manga artist in elementary school when he read Dragon Ball. After spending time in art college, he won the Hop Step Award for new manga artists with his story Karakuri. After considering various genres for his next project, Kishimoto decided on a story steeped in traditional Japanese culture. His first version of Naruto, drawn in 1997, was a one-shot story about fox spirits; his final version, which debuted in Weekly Shonen Jump in 1999, quickly became the most popular ninja manga in the world. The series would also spawn multiple anime series, movies, novels, video games and more. Having concluded the series in late 2014, Masashi Kishimoto has kept himself busy this year with the side story Naruto: The Seventh Hokage and the Scarlet Spring and writing the story for the latest Naruto movie, Boruto: Naruto the Movie, both of which will focus on the title character's son, Boruto.

Naruto 29 is filled with great suspense . Kakashi and Naruto are going to fight Itachi and Guy, Neji ,Lee, and Tenten are going to fight Kisame. This is a MUST BUY book for all naruto fans.

Just picked up Naruto 28. From there on, the Naruto manga is actually WORTH buying. Its finally gotten back to being more story-based, and the Sasuke crap dragged out too long. (going to save him and all that jazz took like 3-4 books atleast...stick to the anime if you wanna get those parts over with quickly.) Id highly recommend checking out Naruto 28 if you're looking for some good new manga.

You know I'm finding this arc to be pretty good. Actually the later volumes seem to be getting interesting. Anyway, It seems the characters are little better here than the earlier volumes. The art was kind of fun. Good volume.

This book picks up from 28, which left you in suspense! It has loads of action! I do recommend though that you read volume 28 first, because of the starting of Naruto Shippuden. Naruto Shippuden is coming better than the first part of Naruto in my perspective! But this is a really great book, and it's worth the time to read it.
