Meet the Author

Author/artist Masashi Kishimoto was born in 1974 in rural Okayama Prefecture, Japan. After spending time in art college, he won the Hop Step Award for new manga artists with his manga Karakuri ("Mechanism"). Kishimoto decided to base his next story on traditional Japanese culture. His first version of Naruto, drawn in 1997, was a one-shot story about fox spirits; his final version, which debuted in Weekly Shonen Jump in 1999, quickly became the most popular ninja manga in Japan.

    Naruto: Action in art

Naruto comic books are great! they teach you to work hard and never give up no matter how bad the odds are. These books are also filled with action, love, friendship, and the will to keep fighting for what you believe in. Two thumbs up for Masashi Kishimoto!

    YAY! Naruto rox!

Sasuke and Naruto are so badass! Why is Sakura so weak though? She needs to fight more... like Naruto and Sasuke. ^^

    No Sasuke-Kun! Don't be a hero!!!!!

I swear... to think i actually thought this might be stupid... I'm not really a fan of shoen jump... all of my other mangas are from tokyopop... When i finshed it it was during recess and i was walking with my friend. On the last page i screamed! I was like ' Damn it Naruto save your own hide!' Well I suggest you get the next one too!

    Climbing Trees?

Yup, that's right, trees. In this novel Kakashi's subordinates kick butt by climbing trees! This great Manga is totally cool, plus there's going to be a GREAT, LONG, FEARSOME battle about to happen! I totally liked this novel for the action and early character images! I didn't really like the... Oh! Never mind! Anyway, you get to see some pretty cool stuff nowadays!!! ;)

    Naruto

In this book, Naruto & Kakashi battle Haku and Zabuza (respectively.) It is very action packed and keeps you reading. If you really like action, comedy and ninjutsu, this is definitely the manga for you!

    Naruto

Naruto is a really awsome manga series with just the right amout of everything. Its got action, adventure and the story totally rocks! Naruto Volume 3 is the best so far in my opinion. It was sad but this book always leaves you wanting more. This is the first work I've read by Masashi Kishimoto but I'm planning on reading more of her work, because if they are half as good as Naruto then I'll have no complaints.

    The BEST-est anime ever!

I didn't read the manga, i watch the anime. Either way, both kick so much a$$! Naruto is THE best manga/anime EVER!!! i'm obsessed, and it's great... Naruto has both adventure, and action. There are so many suspenseful twists that keep you watching more... everyone should watch the anime, and/or read the manga x]
