Meet the Author

Author/artist Masashi Kishimoto was born in 1974 in rural Okayama Prefecture, Japan. After spending time in art college, he won the Hop Step Award for new manga artists with his manga Karakuri ("Mechanism"). Kishimoto decided to base his next story on traditional Japanese culture. His first version of Naruto, drawn in 1997, was a one-shot story about fox spirits; his final version, which debuted in Weekly Shonen Jump in 1999, quickly became the most popular ninja manga in Japan.

    An EARLY Review

I know it's not even out yet (in America) But I have all the English editions AND all the Japanese Editions (read) and this is a very good book. With a new member to Team Kakashi and the Encounter of Sassuke. Naruto unleashes a NEW power that is strong enough to almost kill Jiraiya!!!! O_o This is probally the BEST in the Japanese version. I can't say for sure in English. But it being Naruto, there is little doubt of it being bad (dubbing)

    more from this reviewer

    Naruto, Volume 33

It is a good book in a solid and established series. I would suggest the series to anyone who likes a heartwarming story of someone growing from the shame of the community to the star.

    Excellent

The series over all is just amazing. I absoluty love it. I really love how everything is really well drawn and how the characters just pop right out at you & how you really love to hate some of the characters, but you just can't because they really grow on you.

I hope that this series keeps on going both for the book and the Tv Show.
