Meet the Author

Author/artist Masashi Kishimoto was born in 1974 in rural Okayama Prefecture, Japan. After spending time in art college, he won the Hop Step Award for new manga artists with his manga Karakuri ("Mechanism"). Kishimoto decided to base his next story on traditional Japanese culture. His first version of Naruto, drawn in 1997, was a one-shot story about fox spirits; his final version, which debuted in Weekly Shonen Jump in 1999, quickly became the most popular ninja manga in Japan.

The leader of an infamous criminal band is beginning his attack on Naruto's hometown. To make matters completely worse, he is six people at once, and has different powers for each body. Anything that gets in his way of completing his goal: capturing Naruto (the nine-tails jinchuriki). And anything/anybody who gets in his way will be taken out. As the village crumbles around them, the Naruto's friends rush to defend their home. All the while trying to figure Pain's dark secrets. Meanwhile, driven by the determination to avenge his fallen master, Naruto is training in the sage arts in the secret village of the toads. All the while he is completely unaware of what is happening back home. Naruto volume 45 is recommended to all readers, whether if they read only the volumes, the chapters in the Monthly Shonen Jump, or both. It begins one of the most amazing story lines the series that has been seen.

Series keeping getting better and better. And the character development for the characters is also good. Even the pacing is good to pretty good. Anyway, this was another good volume. And the covers for these are also good. Tense in moments.

The saga continues as Naruto battles pain for the fate of his village. There is more action as the battle begins to heat up.
