Meet the Author

Author/artist Masashi Kishimoto was born in 1974 in rural Okayama Prefecture, Japan. After spending time in art college, he won the Hop Step Award for new manga artists with his manga Karakuri (Mechanism). Kishimoto decided to base his next story on traditional Japanese culture. His first version of Naruto, drawn in 1997, was a one-shot story about fox spirits; his final version, which debuted in Weekly Shonen Jump in 1999, quickly became the most popular ninja manga in Japan.

    The BEST Book EVER <3

This book was amazing. I knew just by the cover I HAD to get it the day it came out! It was written with so much heart and compassion that it's hard to put into words. Masashi Kishimoto did an amazing job with this one. I loved reading about Kushina's past, and the last chapter made me bawl my eyes out. The only other book that may surpass this in sadness is Vol. 43 with the Sasuke vs. Itachi history. You absolutely have to read this book, whether you are a Naru-tard (like me, who is obsessed <3) or just a person who enjoys reading the series, you're going to love it! :)

    NARUTO

This is probably the best book in the series. It about Naruto going to Turtle Island so he can gain control over Nine Tails' power/chakra. He engages a battle between Nine Tails and Naruto. After Naruto defeats Nine Tails, his mom appears, Kushina. And she tells him how she and Minato/Fourth Hokage dies. And how Nine Tails was summoned to destroy the Hidden Leaf Village.
