Meet the Author

Author/artist Masashi Kishimoto was born in 1974 in rural Okayama Prefecture, Japan. After spending time in art college, he won the Hop Step Award for new manga artists with his manga Karakuri (Mechanism). Kishimoto decided to base his next story on traditional Japanese culture. His first version of Naruto, drawn in 1997, was a one-shot story about fox spirits; his final version, which debuted in Weekly Shonen Jump in 1999, quickly became the most popular ninja manga in Japan.

This one is OK but it does talk about all the Kages of the Five Great Nations talk about the Allied Shinobi Forces. And it shows Kisame's and Killer Bee's battle.

Besides the MC whom I started liking a couple of volumes later. The other characters are whom I like even more. So it was nice to see the others get their moment or well, their story arc move forward. Good volume.

This book is very good, this volume leaves off where Shonen Jump did the last printed issue(volume 10, issue 4 No. 110) and moved on to Shonen Jump Alpha, an online version of the magazine.but back to the book, the ninjas face off against familiar faces like Asuma, Kinkaku and Ginkaku, ninjas who can use nine tails power's. Also added, the leader of the Samurai fights against the poisonous ninja Hanzo.
