Meet the Author

Author/artist Masashi Kishimoto was born in 1974 in rural Okayama Prefecture, Japan. After spending time in art college, he won the Hop Step Award for new manga artists with his manga Karakuri ("Mechanism"). Kishimoto decided to base his next story on traditional Japanese culture. His first version of Naruto, drawn in 1997, was a one-shot story about fox spirits; his final version, which debuted in Weekly Shonen Jump in 1999, quickly became the most popular ninja manga in Japan.

WOW!!!!!I don't know what to say about this volume, it's awesome! Ino really did loose her mind at the end when she cut her hair with the kunai. Kankuro was really awesome also I didn't know that he was a puppet master thats really awesome!!! Shino and Zaku's fight were pretty wicked too! It was awesome when Zaku's arm exploded!!!!! It was pretty creepy to find out that Shino has bugs living inside him!! Sasukes fight was amazing as well! It was so unexpected when he used Rock Lee's technique! My fave characters are Naruto, Kakashi, and ROCK LEE!I made up a few rymes for Rock lee and Guy. Rock Lee went to go eat broccoli and Master Guy went to go eat pie! HEE HEE!!!!

Um, just saying that for those who don't know, Kankuro's puppet isn't called 'crow'. 'Crow' is the translation for Karasu, which is what the puppet's actual name is. Kankuro still rocks hard, though.

I love this series sooooo much! Volume 6 is my favorite volume(still!). Kankuro's battle...OMG! That was the best!!! Iloved the Wholr thing with 'The Crow'. Puppet Masters are really cool. If I was a ninja I would definetly want to be a puppet master. The art was Awsome(As usual!) I thoght there should have been more about Sasuke being in the hospital...but oh well! This Volume of Naruto was Awsome As Usual!

I got to say, the battles are pretty good. Even if there's some stuff that really should not be that long, like well, the flashback on what happened between two characters and their once friendship or whatever. I was like really, we're having this now. Oh okay then. Still gets a 4 for the fight scenes alone. I mean there's more going on in this one but still. Anyway, the series has its moments and potential. Good volume regardless.

Naruto 8 takes place in the Third Test Preliminaries of the Chunin exams. In american it's the best. I think that Japanese Volume 25 is better but right now this is the best one you can get!

The elimination round battles are great. The only problem I had was that, the story slowed down too much to include the history between Sakura and Ino.
