Obviously it's the Bible; my rating has nothing to do with the content. But the navigation needs to be improved significantly. It would be so much easier if you would break down the "chapters" by book, then chapter, then verse. Or at least book, then chapter. In other words, on the navigation panel you'd select Go To, then Chapter, then I'd see 66 chapters/books listed. When I select Genesis, for example, I'd see 50 chapters listed. When I select a chapter, I'd see ___ verses selected. I would pay extra for this functionality - possibly as much as 9.99. As it is now, I find it frustrating to use this eBook. As it stands, I select Go To, then Chapter, then I see a list of hundreds of chapters: Genesis, then Genesis 1, 2, 3, 4...Exodus, Exodus 1, 2 - it takes forever to get to the spot I want. I can try to work around by going to the index at the end of the eBook, but then I have to use the up/down arrows, which takes just as long. Please fix the navigation to make this usable! Right now the only workable solution is to go to "page" (guessing) or search for a word (also slow).

I was hesitant to buy this version last Christmas because of the horrible reviews regarding the navigation of the book. When I saw the navigation had been updated I bought it since this is my preferred translation. The alternative navigation seems to solve the issues other reviewers shared. The alternative navigation works comparitively to my other nook Bibles and books. If, like me, you have waited to buy because of previous poor reviews, it is now safe. I think they may have reduced the price as well.

You can navigate to the book and chapter by turning to the Table of Contents page and using the touch screen down arrow to move to the link to the book you want to read in and then touch the "o" access icon. That will send you to a larger table of contents with chapters listed for each book of the Bible. Then you scroll to the right chapter by using the touch screen down arrow (or, if your chapter is in the bottom portion of the page, turn to the next page and use the bottom arrow to scroll up to the chapter). Then touch the access icon again. It would be nice to be able to hold the down or up arrows and get more than one jump per push to do a sort of fast forward through the chapters, but I haven't discovered a way to do that yet.

Not 100% perfect, but definitely a good Bible and works well with my Nookcolor. Going to a chapter is easy with the search feature. Remember, the Bible is a big book, so don't get impatient when you search!

The text of this ebook is fine but the navigation is the worst of all the ebooks I have purchased. The ebook freguently locks up my nook while attempting to navigate and the user interface is painfully slow and tedious. If you want to use this bible for anything besides page by page reading forget it! Buy something else... If I could give it zero stars I would.

I am 50+ and not great with technology so i was worried about navigating the book. What ever the issues were before have definately been fixed. I go to contents, choose the book, then the chapter and begin my study. I love this book and see it as a great value.

I thought maybe this Bible would be easier and faster than the ESV ebook Bible I purchased previously. It is much slower, harder to search, and locks up the nook almost every time. It's too bad a credit can't be given to my account because this purchase deserves a refund. I originally purchased a nook to use in church to follow the sermon in the Bible (our church uses the Bible extensively). The nook is not good for this at all, at least with the two Bibles I've purchased so far. Very disappointing. I do use the nook for other books and they work great. So for the two translations of the Bible that are most accurate, NASB and ESV, I would not recommend the nook versions.

It's nice to be able to put in lots of bookmarks and highlights, but you can't navigate by typing in the specific verse address that you want. Once you get used to dealing with page numbers instead it's not so bad but nobody memorizes those.

Getting to book, chapster, and verse is sluggish. Some books take for ever to load.

I love the NASB and now that I've got a nook color I wanted a copy in ebook. Its complete, looks good, but you prolly won't be able to use it at church when they're flipping from verse to verse, just too slow.

My husband uses the NASB in school so we decided to get this version for the Nook. It freezes and force closes constantly and it very hard to navigate through when it is working. Don't waste your money!

Please do not waste your time on this Bible. The navigation is awful. There are so many other ones that allow you to navigate without pulling out your hair. I am so sorry that I purchased this one. It does not even deserve one star, but they make you give it at least one star to post your comments. So don't make the same mistake that I did.

I was considering purchasing this bible after reading a recent review that said the navigation issues had been resolved. Before purchasing I tried the sample. I could not get a single chapter to open. I wont purchase this ebook now. Sorry
