    I highly recomend it

I own a couple of tree books and this is the best of them. I would recomend it to anyone who is interested in nature or just wanting to know the trees in their back yard or neighborhood.

    National Audubon Society-great guide

The National Audubon Society has done a wonderful job in making tree identification easy. We enjoy taking this book on hikes through forests. It is not a tool to use to identify trees ideal for landscaping as many of these trees are not native to the area...i,e. Japanese Maple.
We have their other guide books WIldflower and bird too. The colorful images make it easy to confidently identify.

    GREAT hiking companion!

This is one of the best books anyone who wishes to identify trees in the Eastern US can buy. The small size ensures easy portability for hikes, and the full color plates make identifying a tree based on leaf shape, type of fruit, and/or flower color incredibly easy. Each plate has an accompanying description of the tree in the back half of the book.
