National Treasure (Original Score)

( 1 )

Editorial Reviews

All Music Guide - Richie Unterberger
Soundtrack veteran and ex-Yes member Trevor Rabin composed the score to the hit Disney adventure movie National Treasure. It's a serviceable, typical accompaniment to a film of this kind, alternating suspenseful orchestration, more uptempo rhythmic passages with percussion and electronics, and an overall sense of racing against danger, as titles like "The Chase" and "Foot Chase" indicate. There's nothing here to make it particularly stand out in isolation from the screen action, but there's a lot of alternation of moods, from the grandly contemplative to the tensely foreboding.

    Finally, an ORIGINAL score!

Finally, Hollywood seems to have veered away from borrowing music from previous films. This score is fully original! The music follows the action and suspense of the film, and I don't at all regret purchasing the album. Tracks like Ben and Treasure as well as Finding Charlotte add to the poignance of film and score, appropriate for a movie about American History.
