This book has been very helpful over the years. There are more specific books available for particular areas, but this is a wonderful resource with very helpful info on the plants listed, attractive photos and insight on gardening with native flora. If you live in the southwest, this book is a great start, and even though I design Calif native gardens, I still reference this book often.

Excellent reference work with attractive photos and informative plant profiles. Not only what plants to use but how to use them effectively and attractively. The one book for serious water-conscious gardeners.
