Library Journal - Library JournalThe owner of retail shops and a mail-order firm that specialize in "utility" fabrics, such as ticking, muslin, and linen, Mankin shows how to use these fabrics in home decorating. Each chapter defines the individual textiles then gives a few projects to construct, such as blinds, bed coverings, and cushions. Much of the same material is presented in Margot Richardson's Natural Style (LJ 5/15/97), but with its clear instructions to projects, this book is recommended where sewing for the home is popular.
