Overview

This book is the inspiring journey of a nature artist living a dual life as a business-minded brand designer, desperately seeking balance within an unbalanced society. She shares the intimate broken parts of her personal life, and how she emerges into re-discovering and trusting her natural self, helping her get to the core of the cyclical problems that keep holding her hostage.

Natural Self Discovery goes beyond just sharing this unique journey, it strives to share a missing ingredient that even the most recognized specialists in psychology, through the biological and environmental sciences, are not including as part of a solution to today's recurring ills and conflicts. We can all learn the secret of tapping back into the natural creative genius we were born with, and begin acknowledging and fulfilling our own individual natural needs, voids and hurts, to ultimately radiate this wisdom into our daily lives and those of others to acheive a natural balance in life that is healthier and happier.

Meet the Author

Pamela Hoke, BFA from Ohio State University, a known nature artist, corporate brand strategy and design entrepreneur, mother, wife, long-term volunteer for multiple non-profit organizations, and now an Organic Psychology PhD candidate from Akamai University's Project NatureConnect program at the Institute of Global Eduation, strives to share that a positive solution for ourselves, and for our next phase as a society, exists right under our noses, is just outside our back doors, one invigorating shower, or one breath of fresh air away. It has been in us all along, and is so easily accessible by simply, yet bravely, working toward deepening our personal relationship with nature, which gently reveals our personal relationship with our natural selves.

Pam strives to share simple steps that anyone can use to walk a comfortable path toward a more satiating, inspired, and balanced life that is full of enhanced wisdom, courage, creativity, relational love and peaceful hope - one that realistically helps us balance our civilized comforts with the natural world. When we achieve this form of balanced natural love and attraction within, we not only feel better ourselves, yet we ultimately radiate this newfound peace outward, just as the laws of attraction and nature have since the beginning of time.

"I have spent my entire adult life immersed in self help books, researching success and creative balance, reading countless environmental, psychological and biological studies, attending 12-step meetings and following daily meditations, striving to leave an 11 year career as a business-minded brand designer to become solely an artist, and endless other recovery and success tactics. Never had I come across an easier, safer, non-clinical, non-invasive or non-judgmental solution than when I stumbled across the Reconnecting with Nature process developed by Dr. Michael Cohen. His years of hands-on research spoke to me because it came from nature in its purest form. This natural, gentle thinking process was so enlightening and life changing that I naturally found myself adopting the process and became driven to mesh it with all the other research and recovery knowledge from specialists I've admired over the years, to share a balanced solution. I invite, even dare, all individuals, and experts in all fields, to add this thinking process as a refreshingly positive new ingredient to help us learn and grow from the conflicts and ills of modern society."
