Eat Well, Take Supplements, And Cure Hyperthyroidism?

After being diagnosed with hyperthyroidism I did a lot of research, and based on what I read in different books and while browsing the net, I figured I would be able to cure my condition on my own through eating well and taking certain supplements. And don't get me wrong, as cleaning up my diet and taking some supplements and herbs did help me feel a little better. But my TSH was still low, free T4 remained high, and so I wasn't sure what else to do. I've read numerous books on hyperthyroidism, and while one or two of them briefly spoke about treating hyperthyroidism naturally, this is the only one I've come across that focuses on using a natural thyroid treatment to essentially cure hyperthyroidism. Before reading this book I was taking Methamazole (although it was "highly" recommended to receive radioactive iodine). Upon reading this book I began following some of the advice he gave, and eventually stopped taking the meds. I was concerned that my blood tests (which were stabilized upon taking the meds) would become out of whack again, but so far I'm happy to say that they have remained within normal limits. I'm so thankful I found this book!

Not Just Another Book On Hyperthyroidism and Graves' Disease

I read both Mary Shomon's book and the one written by Elaine Moore, and while both of those books have some useful information, this is by far the best book I have read on hyperthyroid conditions. While the other two books allowed me to better understand my problem, they didn't do much to help with the cause of the problem. While this book isn't perfect, if I had to choose one book to help cure my condition, I would pick this book.

Dr. Osansky talks in detail about diet, many of the different supplements that can help, how to better manage your stress, the pros and cons of iodine supplementation, environmental toxins, how to find a natural doctor, thyroid eye disease, and provides a lot of other useful information. He also has a very informative website, and offers a free ebook which gives a lot of good information too.
