This is a handy and fairly thorough guide to the world above the treeline. It has easily usable keys to the identification of Arctic flowers. However, by strictly limiting itself to birds that breed in the Arctic, it omits discriptions of some that may be seen but are not familiar to non-birders. I found the sections on meteorology, climatology, and geography extremely interesting. I am definitely taking it on my next trip so that I can finally fully appreciate all the wonders of this fascinating region. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback.
