This book is so good, so valuable. I had a strange theft not too long ago, by a nice burglar...he took our outdoor camping chairs, but left the tent and sleeping bag. he took our tracphone and a few other things, but left all of our books except this one!!! I've been shopping for its replacement and not yet found it. There is NOTHING else like it, so good, so missed. Smart thief. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Addicting to read. I love to look at the plant section (about 80% of the book). This small book is both a field guide for edibles and survival guide and is easily the single best book to bring with you, if you are going into the North American wilderness...particularly the Pacific Northwest. The photos/how-to-use section of the wild edibles is the best feature. I especially enjoyed the history (mainly how the Native American used a particular plant). There is also a great section on poisonous plants and a pretty good section on survival basics. It goes into my backpack on every trip and everyone who camps with me wants one. Fits nicely into side pockets. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.
