What makes The Nebraska Way exceptional is the guts employed to delve into issues that many other fans and writers try and avoid. This book is an upfront, all-exposing narrative that explores the highs and lows of one of America's greatest programs. Of particular interest is the latter part of the book, which focuses in on recent years that created contempt and discontent among fans and former players. However, the beginning is especially enlightening for Nebraskans or out-of-staters. Explored early on is the connection between the state and its players, unrivaled by any in college football! I very much appreciated the unbiased approach this book took to these issues, and the way in which it laid out circumstances without pointing the finger of blame. It lets you decide for yourself right versus wrong. Let me say, not reading this book would be the WRONG decision for any college football fan!
