    Great Fantasy Adventure

Morgan, a 12 year old, finds a 'magic' necklace that grants him great powers when he wears it. Problem is it also puts him in great danger. Suddenly he is being assailed by people who want him dead so they can take the 'stones' from him. And what assassins! The 'Eating Cloud', a pack of large insects that eat people like piranha fish in water, the 'Golden Ash', weapons that burrow into other common things and turn them into weapons (a wood porch for example) and more. Morgan (with his new protector) moves from one life threatening event to another continously. The most dangerous killer(s) to hunt him down are the pouch carriers, so named because they wear their life forces in pouches around their necks. They travel in a pack of nine and when attacking their victim, give all their pouches to one of the pack who then flies off to safety. The other eight attack and cannot be killed since their lives are held elsewhere off the field of battle and so cannot be taken from them. Equally clever as the killers the author invents are the means by which Morgan manages to live (most of the time) after their attacks. Very imaginative fantasy adventure that reads like a page-turner thriller. For adults and young adults.

Morgan a young boy, witnesses a battle between men and/or creatu

Morgan a young boy, witnesses a battle between men and/or creatures of another world and subsequently finds a necklace granting the wearer great powers, good thing except others want the necklace back. Suddenly strange otherworldly killers are after him. Even the Central Park Zoo clock creatures come to life to get him! (great scene).
What to do but reurn the necklace ot the rightful owner. Except the owner is in another world called the Old Dominion. With killers on his tail, with the Old Dominion itself in danger of being destroyed, little Morgan (with his new pal, Mag the Protector) start on their quest. Really good book with one suspenseful scene after another.
