Girl loves boy. Boy loves girl, but doesn't know it. It's a simple concept, yet Molly makes it refreshing and light.
Needing Her is a breath of fresh air, that made me sigh with happiness. It's a hilarious book and the main characters suit each other perfectly. I was formerly a Connor hater (read From Ashes and weep, then learn what true love is) but in this novella he is a new person
with demons you can relate to, or at least understand. Maci is a dream. She is a good role model for women. She is who she is and really doesn't give a (insert choice word here) until she lets love wash over her.
This story is short, hilarious, not-so-sweet, and lovely. It's the perfect day read for anyone looking for a good novella, or a hopeless romantic. I am stunned by Molly McAdams way to keep writing just honest books that not only can bring joy but also heartbreak. They give more then
a basic story you find in most books today. To this day I have read every Molly McAdams book within the first week of release and have never
been disappointed. I am in awe of her ability to write just phenomenal books that get into not only your head but also your heart. Needing Her just like all of her other books teaches you a lesson you did not know you needed, until well you need her. Molly McAdams

    more from this reviewer

Connor and Maci's story left me with a big smile on my face and on my heart.

Feisty girl Maci had been living in hell in terms of getting in relationships because of her overprotective brothers. Currently, she is hiding, her bed buddy and prick at the same time, Bryce. But she knows she deserve more than a guy like him.

Connor, first knowing from From Ashes, has been living like a zombie since Cassidy told him to leave her alone and go home once and for all.

Maci and Connor were friends since they were kids. Connor being best friends with Maci's twin brothers, also known as dumb and dumber, Dakota and Dylan. They started with friendly pranks to more serious ones until they didn't realize that the joke is on them already.

Maci finally freeing herself from Bryce and Connor noticing her, they found themselves playing the most enjoyable ride of love.

I love Maci's character-- feisty and never backing down. Connor on the other hand, as expected, lands on the best book boyfriend list. Who did not enjoy the pranks? From Kool- Aid to tarantula and itchy powder.

My heart throbbed everytime I read Connor's POV. He struggles with his issues and controlling his future with Maci but wasn't strong enough to do do. The pulls and push of their relationship is one of the best elements of this novella.

I hated Dakota and Dylan. Seriously? Overprotective much? Dumb and dumber really fits both of them. I hope they get a taste of their own medicine and it's exciting to know that if Molly writes their own story, who will end up with Amber?

Needing Her left me hanging and wanting for more. The epilogue came too fast. However, I think it was a good decision on the part of the author as I feel satisfied in the end.

    Too short

Good read but leads you to belive the story is longer than it is. One minute you are reading along and then Bam" you are at the end.

    Happy that I didn't cry!

Love, love, love Molly McAdams! This is not her typical "heart breaking-ugly crying-still gotta read it" books. Its fun, sassy, but still gritty. Loved it! Sit back with your drink of choice and enjoy this book! :)

3.5 Star Total Rating from Me

Molly is one of my favorite authors and I enjoy her work so much. My only criticism for this book, she didn’t give enough description of what the characters were doing. What I mean by that is, first they are at the apartment, then boom………they are magically at the coffee shop. She also loses me at times with who is speaking and I found myself going to previous pages to see if I missed something. The editing on this could have been better.
The story is a solid one and good to see this author continue on with characters that could have easily been forgotten about. Great sex scenes and great heart to all the characters. Including those four Neanderthal brothers of hers. Wanted to smack them up the side of the head pretty hard!

    Good

This is a spin off of FROM THE ASHES. He is a detective in California. She is the little sister of his best friends. I was thrown off by thinking they didn’t like each other then by the fact they were like brother and sister. They had a sibling rivalry thing going on. Good news is it does have a HEA. Main Plot is her brothers do not let her date. Side plot he has issues and she has insecurities. If you get lost by what is going on in his life (in the event you didn’t read From the Ashes) it is all explained by the end.
