Better than most free. A bit too much graphic sex, but at least a storyline

Not bad I guess. If you would remove the graphic sexual content it would be a good story...even though it would only be 18 pages or so, not 37.

Characters actually have some definition and personality.

    My mistake

My mind is now dirty and I feel like I have commited a sin. I am so sorry I ever read this book and I will never be able to forget it. I have infected my mind forever and I should have known by the cover. A huge mistake on my part. I am a big reader and I like to read all books until the end, but this one I just have to quit in order to not poison my mind further.

    Not a lot of plot....

Not badly written, but not much of a plot or story line. It's pretty predictable.

Reader beware, hot sex in this book!

This is a very quick fun read. I can't help but laugh at the reader that feels she has sinned by reading this book! In the future just read the reviews and you'll know what type of book, if the cover and write up isn't enough. I enjoyed this book, great story and steamy sex. Just wish it had been longer.

    GREAT BOOK

I found this book very entertaining. I've read it about three times in three weeks!! I just love the meeting in the restaurant - when he jumps up and bumps the table; the elevator scene; the office scene; and the morning after! Really romantic and funny and sexy!!

I had it on my BlackBerry Kindle too. So I've read it over 5x and I wish there was some way to make it as a favorite.

Good work Norah. Will look for you!

Romance leads to sex and sex is graphic so deal with it naysayers

Why read romance novels if you don't expect sex scenes? This was a very good story and if you thought you were dying from a brain tumor or any other dread disease I'm sure you would want to experience life before you left this earth behind. Everyone has a right to their own opinions I guess but if a writer has to be descriptive to keep the reader interested, he/she must also describe the sex scenes as well. The only thing I would say is most of the free nook book romance stories are much too short and since I read so many so often anything less than a hundred pages is not a novel to me.

    more from this reviewer

    Better than expected

I really enjoyed this novella about a lawyer that discovers she is dying of a brain tumor so she decides to give in to the desires she has suppressed for 3 years for hot Det. Craig Walker. This novella was well written with good character development. I hate a HEA that feels rushed. At least the author established that these two had been crazy about each other and just denied the chance to act on it. This was my first book by Norah WIlson but It won't be the last.

Not bad for a free book

The previous comment was more vulgar than the book. The plot was not bad, but could be better. It definitely had enough pages to have more of a story than sex.

What I Liked: The great characters! Even though there wasn't muc

What I Liked: The great characters! Even though there wasn't much backstory on them, they were fleshed out very well. I got to know and like them based strictly on their personalities. I was rooting for them and so happy when they got their HEA!

I also loved the subtle humor. It felt so natural. Along with the romance, that despite happening fast, was so believable. The writing was choppy at first, but quickly evened out and became enjoyable. Honestly, this is more of a "what didn't I like?!" So, let's get to that.

What I Didn't Like: My biggest issue was the intimacy between the H/h was too soon. Granted, it wasn't first thing to start the story, but was close enough. It seemed like they weren't ready, and since I didn't know them well enough yet, I wasn't either. It was very lukewarm. It would have been—and was—a ton better had they bonded/chatted over drinks or a meal first. As it is, it came off very forced and contrived. Not sexy at all.

Final Analysis: A really great story. I thought it was a quick, sweet and sexy treat. The rocky start is greatly eclipsed by a wonderful middle and finish. I'm satisfied with it and will gladly send it to my "keeper" shelf.

    Review~

The plot is very interesting and eye-catching. Though thel story is more smut than plot, it's overall quite decent.
The grammar should be checked a little bit more and thpe plot could've been rushed less though.
The characters all have unique traits, so it's a good change in scenery. The way the relationship was developed was well-written, but it was a bit too rushed mainly because of all of the scene breaks.

Novella quick read that could have been developed into more

Ok for a novella quick read. Formula plot. Erroneously thinking she's dying of cancer, the criminal defense lawyer heroine decides to have a fling with the formerly off-limits but hunky police detective. Will he be "the one"? Some steamy sex scenes. Occassional annoying edit errors. This could have been developed into a full story by adding in either mystery-crime or legal thriller elements, but as a novella feels one dimensional. Likable characters fast jump into a relationship, with some references to characters from the author's other works. This story has potential, but right now succeeds only as a lightweight formula romantic interlude instead of a full story.

It's an ok very short read

Very short book. If it were longer I'm sure it would've been much better, more detailed, with more plot.
