This book is for every one of us in the center!

If you are like me, you are sick of politicians bickering about stuff that doesn't matter. Both sides spend so much time and money in senseless ways that it's ridiculous. Everyone I talk to in my state protects their Republican reps regardless of whether they are performing or not. I picked up this book and instantly felt like I was not alone. I loved the analogies the author has written -- they really drive home the very good points this author makes. It has made me look at candidates I have voted for in the past and I am scrutinizing the candidates as they come up for the 2008 election. He's actually made me feel like I can make a difference from my own voting booth. Who should read this book? I gave it to a very Republican friend who said he liked it and it made him think. He is sick of the unproductive government too. I gave it to my Democrat father who also loved it. I thought (and so did these two people) that they were staunch supporters of the right and left, conservative and liberal policies. What we all found was that we are really more in the middle than the radio people (particularly the noisy conservatives) make this country out to be. Why do we have to be so divisive? Why do we have to be so polarized? Why can't we get stuff done? What should we do about the war in Iraq? If you hate all the political stuff that we are about to be bombarded with in the coming months, READ THIS BOOK! It's excellent, easy to read -- and amazingly, it's kind of fun with all his analogies. Imagine that -- a political book that is fun -- that was a big surprise to me!
