To put it simply... NEON GENESIS EVANGELION IS THE GREATEST ANIME EVER!!! Youll like this even if your not into anime! Very deep story. 5 stars.

Neon Genesis Evangelion is the most interesting story that I ever read. I like to read a lot (Left Behind, Dramaticas profecias de la gran piramide are good examples) and I think that evangelion is the most complete sci-fi work, not only technology, or Alien invasions or, you know what I mean.Evangelion has an exellent understanding of the human mind, science, and relgion, and everything with the objective of remind us the place where we are and were are we going to finish based on the biblic phrofecy. If you don't belive me check the relation with the story on left Behind.Evangelion is the first anime/manga that show the angels how the really are, eyes of fire and a manasic body and power unlimited, able to kill just with its presence.

This is the peak of science fiction, that challenges many things. The 'Angels' which devestate cities, and the Evangelion pilots, who undergo severe punishment both in the animé series as well as this lovely manga, illustrates many points of veiw, challenging what it is to be human, and above all else--humanity's power. But, perhaps this is why many do not read this. The deep psychology and workings of this manga are crisp, and clear. A perfect book, and excellently drawn. I highly recommend this book.

If you liked the anime series you'll LOVE the manga that follows the same familair plot we've come to know and love and also includes new details that add to the appeal of the entire Evangelion saga!Althogh some aspects of the manga such as the language, content and morbid aspects its still a great mange in my opinion!

One of the best graphic novels I've ever read! (Try get the 'Special Collector's Edition' though.)
