Purpose: This easy-to-use reference book for neonatal nurses addresses common neonatal conditions and procedures for newborns in intensive care settings. The book is designed to supplement Comprehensive Neonatal Nursing, Kenner et al. (Springer Publishing, 2020) and may be used by international clinicians to provide evidence-based, high-quality care. The objectives are worthy and clearly met.
Audience: The book is designed as an easy-to-use reference for nurses in neonatal intensive care clinical practice, though it may be useful for students in an advanced neonatal nursing advanced practice program. The book clearly meets the needs of the intended audience. The editors are credible experts in the field and recognized leaders in advanced practice neonatal nursing. The chapter authors are leaders in neonatal health care, representing nurses (bedside practice, advanced practice, academia, research), feeding specialists, physicians, and pharmacists. The chapter authors are credible authorities and possess extensive clinical, academic, and research expertise in neonatal nursing and intensive care.
