Overview

I am ‘Eunice’ daughter of one of ‘Nereus’ and ‘Doris’ fifty Nereid daughters named ‘Galatea’.

She never disclosed who my father was to anyone.

My mother, her sisters and offspring are known as Nereid’s or ‘Sea Nymphs’. Most of them live in the ocean but, some like my mother and a few others chose to live in the forest.

Every fifty years my Nereid family has to sacrifice a princess to ‘Lamia’ the child-eating demon.

However, the princess has to be nineteen-years old at the time of her sacrifice. No one knows why Lamia wants a teenager if she only eats small children.

The way the princess is chosen is by electing the girl who is going to be the right age one or two months before the first day of winter.
My family made such horrible pact with Lamia many centuries ago to stop her from eating their children.

When time comes for the sacrifice, the chosen Nereid is taken inside a cave named ‘Hells Mouth’!

    Mythology meets Beauty

This is a story the tween will devour.
It was cool to discover the plot was well thought out. Eunice is a beautiful Nereid who refuses to be sacrificed to Lamia. Good for her I was definitely going to do the same. Won't you?

The ending was nicely done and satisfying. Bottom line, it was a cool read.

Response to the 'Not New!' 1 star review from a concerned reader.

WHO CARES IF A BOOK IS OLD OR NEW????? Unless you are the “mother” of an author who writes the same genres as Miss Van Bokkem and you think that you are helping your daughter or son with your non-sense comments, venom, and 1 star review on almost all of Miss Van Bokkem books????, or you are simply a jealous author.

Everyone knows readers want to READ a story that sounds appealing to our personal taste. All books are new for ‘BRAND NEW’ readers and to anyone who hasn’t read this authors stories or any other author that we haven’t tried yet.

    Not new

Can't tell if this is really new since this author's publication dates seem to change weekly. But I'm not buying as the reviews on her other stuff are overwhelmingly bad.
